Simon Pilling former show director of the British Toy & Hobby Associations Toy Fair, creator and former owner of Toytopia Liverpool 2015 and Kidtropolis London, has joined Julian and Liz Agostini at Mash Media, launched a new independent organising company, Apple Market Events.
Apple Market Events (AME) has been created to launch consumer and trade exhibitions, with the first already well underway in the planning stages ready for early 2019, in London.
The inaugural Apple Market event will be with the re-launch of Body Beautiful, the UK’s only cosmetic procedure B2C exhibition and speaker program, originally owned by Mash Media over 13 years ago.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Mash Family, launching new events with the support of the wider team,” commented Pilling. “There is nothing quite like launching your own events, you need to understand the risks and pitfalls but the rewards are so much more. Launching two events of my own in the last four years, seeing almost 19,000 attend the First London Kidtropolis was simply incredible.
“I’ve learned a lot from my time in the events industry; you must maintain your passion and drive and above all surround yourself with like-minded can-do, positive people. We have plenty of ideas and look forward to introducing them in the near future.”
