The Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) has confirmed that ICHF Events, which incorporates a number of leading consumer shows including Crafts for Christmas and Stitching Sewing and Hobbycrafts, has signed a new deal that will keep them at the multi award winning venue until at least 2018.
Speaking about the deal, managing director of ICHF Events, Troy Bennett, said; “We’re delighted to continue exhibiting at the SECC, Glasgow and securing our shows for the next three years. The venue offers us so much in terms of location, space and support in marketing and exhibition set up. We hope the next three years are as successful and positive as our previous years with the venue.”
According to Dan Thurlow, director of exhibition sales at the SECC, the decision to commit to both the SECC and Glasgow for a further three years underlines the appeal of Scotland as a significant market for both consumer and trade exhibitions.
“This decision is great news for the SECC and the people of Scotland,” commented Thurlow. “ICHF operate a number of extremely popular shows that appeal to a very large and loyal audience. We enjoy working with them and look forward to doing so for many years to come.”
“Having ICHF commit for at least a further three years is a big vote of confidence for the venue, our team and the Scottish consumer market,” he added.
Other major shows that have confirmed their return to the venue this year include Comic Con, Country Living and BBC Good Food.
