The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) has announced Kathryn Slater as event co-ordinator for its new food and drink event – Eat, Drink, Discover Scotland.
Joining from Speakeasy Productions in Perth, Slater has worked with a number of major private and public organisations delivering events ranging from public engagement events, exhibitions and conferences, AGMs, business award ceremonies and road shows.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in developing a flagship event for one of Scotland’s most important industries,” said Slater.
The event, at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh on 12-14 September 2014 will showcase the rich diversity of Scotland’s regional produce for both businesses and consumers. The event is set to generate more than £1million for the Scottish economy in its first year.
“We are delighted to welcome Kathryn to the Society. She brings with her an impressive track record in delivering high profile events and we are confident she is the right person for the job,” said RHASS chief executive Stephen Hutt.
