Organiser of the London Pet Show, QD Events, has hailed this year “by far the best show yet”, attracting more than 20,000 visitors (unaudited) to the weekend event – an increase of 25 per cent on last year.
Dogs danced, micro pigs raced, chickens were trained and ducks were herded by a border collie at Earls Court, on 11-12 May.
“We increased exhibition space for the show by 40 per cent this year with over 180 exhibitors selling some fantastic products and services,” said show director Nicole Cooper. “Many stand holders sold out of some of their lines on the first day, having to stock up overnight.”
TV entertainer Bruce Forsyth, and ITV2’s Top Dog Model Simba and his fellow finalists made appearances at the show, hosted by BBC London dog lovers Jo Good and Anna Webb, who launched their new book at the show.
“We are growing substantially year-on-year and are delighted with this year’s show and have already signed up a large number of stand holders and acts for next year,” said Cooper.
