Reed Exhibitions has taken the wrappers off a new website and social networking strategy for its upcoming Pro2Pac processing and packaging solutions exhibition, slated for 13-16 March 2011.
Features include an innovation gallery to showcase packaging concepts and designs launched in the past six months, as well as additional online functionality to allow exhibitors to upload product videos. These will then be screened on the Pro2Pac TV channel.
Reed has also launched a Pro2Pac profile on Twitter and LinkedIn to provide updates and news pre-show and during the event.
Reed Exhibitions marketing manager and Pro2Pac organiser, Deborah Conneely, said it was placing major emphasis on developing its website for the biennial event to enable visitors to get a sneak peak of exhibitors’ products before the show.
“We’re determined to help exhibitors get the most out of next year’s show and attract even more visitors,” she said.
Exhibitors can start uploading information to the website from the end of September.
The Pro2Pac trade show takes place at Excel London and focuses on packaging, sustainable materials, manufacturing and processing services for the food and drinks industry. In 2009, 13,455 visitors attended the exhibition, according to ABC audited figures.
