More than 2,000 fish and chip lovers (unaudited) from around the country attended the annual trade exhibition for the fast food industry, FRY I.T. held at Peterborough Arena.
Show organiser Friars Pride returned to the East England Showground on 23 February with leading industry suppliers, free seminars, live cookery demonstrations and tasting, and family entertainment.
“We are very pleased with the turnout and the outcome FRY I.T.2014,” said Friars Pride sales and marketing executive Roxanne Bonin. “With a variety of stands, ranging from catering products to new marketing tools for businesses and the latest frying equipment, there was plenty to see.
“There was also a chance to meet the captain of one of our sustainably sourced fish trawlers, while taking advantage of exclusive show deals and offers, family entertainment and sample new products.”
Peterborough Arena managing director Keith Dalton said he was pleased with the show’s turnout.
“The fish and chip industry is huge and once again Peterborough Arena has been delighted to host this exhibition, particularly as we are able to support another local business, Friars Pride,” he said.
