Following several months of research, Matt Hodgins and Austen Hawkins (pictured) have announced the formation of a new company: The Original Events Co.
The two industry veterans are proposing an approach which will present an alternative to the traditional blueprint for consumer shows and trade exhibitions.
“Over the last few months we have been researching different models that will provide a high margin return for every single customer,” said Hodgins. “What came from those conversations was a shared view on how we could create genuinely original live events that would offer a more meaningful and profitable experience for all participants.’
The new company will mix project work for clients with a launch schedule which includes both trade and public events.
“We have some great ideas already and although we are working in a diverse range of markets, they will all come back to the founding principles upon which the company was created,” Hodgins continued.
Regarding the partnership and the formation of the new company, Hawkins added: “I am really excited to be working with such a talent as Matt and the show concepts that we have ready for launch fill me with a buzz of excitement that are unique to new launches. I can’t wait to get launching.”
Details of the company’s first launches will be published early in 2018.
