Diversified Business Communications UK has reported an 18 per cent rise in attendance to its annual Office exhibition at Earls Court and announced plans to relocate to Olympia.
The second edition of the show was held in the West Brompton Hall from 15 to 16 September and attracted 3,765 visitors including PAs, executive assistants, office managers and administrators. There were also 165 exhibitors present, up 26 per cent on its inaugural year.
Event manager Ali Mead told EN the decision to move into Olympia’s National Hall from 2012 gave the show room to grow. Diversified expanded the size of the show floor for 2011 in expectation of increased exhibitor and visitor numbers.
“We made the decision quite early on as we are outgrowing the venue,” she explained. “Office has grown very quickly in its first two years, with a 26 per cent increase in exhibitors this year, and we’re targeting a similar increase next year. The National Hall offers us room to expand at a ground floor level, then the gallery.”
According to Diversified, this year’s show was buoyed by the launch of National PA Day on 15 September. Photos from the festivities and MWB Meeting Venues’ gorilla marketing campaign at Office can be viewed here.
Other highlights included an increased social media presence with live updates from office’s exhibitors, attendees and high-profile speakers throughout the event. The new ifom.co.uk online portal for office managers was also unveiled on 16 September.
“Exhibitor feedback from this year’s show has been very positive,” Mead said. “We’ve had many exhibitors telling us it was their best show yet, with over 60 per cent rebooking onsite for next year’s show. We are absolutely delighted with the calibre of this year’s attendees and proud to have shown significant growth in both visitor and exhibitor numbers.”
The office exhibition will relocate from Earls Court into Olympia from 12 to 13 September.
Diversified will take its Office brand international with the launch of editions in Canada, the US and Australia next year.
