Organisers of International Confex are expecting the highest volume of corporate businesses and brand visitors in the show’s history. Next year’s show will open on 28 February.
The exhibition, which saw a record growth in visitors earlier this year, is seeing a continued rise in attendance as well as pre-registration for 2018 among corporate buyers.
International Confex showed audited figures up 36.1 per cent on the 2016 show, with corporate buyers a major contributor to this growth. The event delivered a number of streams of quality content to this audience as well as association, charity, and governmental event organisers.
“The corporate market is hugely important to our exhibitors, and we’re delighted with the growth and return rates of these visitors,” commented event director Liz Agostini. “This is an audience that is attracted by great education; they do not want to be sold to in pre-arranged meetings, and would rather walk the aisles looking for information and inspiration.”
Looking ahead, the exhibition aims to position itself as the UK’s primary meeting point for corporate buyers to meet event management agencies, as well as high quality services, destinations and venues.
Confex is also curating educational content as part of the industry’s largest conference programme; allowing brand representatives to listen to their peers discuss the relevance of events as part of wider business and marketing activity.
