Guesthouse owner and trade show organiser Nick Hood is the driving force behind The North West Hospitality Show, a new trade exhibition set to open in February 2018.
The event launches one month earlier than Lakes Hospitality Trade Show, a well-established show with a focus on promoting the Lake District.
Hood told EN that he saw an opportunity in that the market needs another event to cater to businesses with a link in the hospitality sector. He also pointed out that plans for the brand new event started in May this year and that several agencies have come together to promote the project across the region.
“The was a need in the market for a new hospitality show in Cumbria,” Hood explained. “There are other events tapping into this industry but we have scheduled the show to take place in February to stand out from our competitors.
“We are also working very hard to make the event attractive to all business in the North [of England]. This show will welcome a wide range of business with a link to the hospitality sector,” Hood enthused.
A trade only event, The North West Hospitality Show will open on 21-22 February 2018 at the Junction 36 Auction Centre in Crooklands, just off the M6. The event is free to attend and will also offer a programme of workshops and seminars supported by a number of industry experts.
Hood said he is impressed by the positive response from exhibitors across the North West region. EN understands that 40 companies have secured exhibition space. The organiser’s target is to welcome 100 exhibitors.
The show is supported by The Family Business Network, Carlisle Ambassadors, Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce, Family Business United, Lakeland Radio and The Bay radio stations, both part of CN Group Ltd, the company behind in-Cumbria.
The North West Hospitality Show is sponsored by eviivo, The Brand Chap, Vaadhoo and RfM Accountants.
Hosted in the new conference hall at the J36 Auction Centre, the show will take 1,000 square metres of floor space downstairs, and meeting rooms on the new mezzanine floor above reception.
The venue offers over 750 free car parking spaces available, along with easy access from the M6 and A65 from the East.
