The organiser of the Manchester Pet Show has announced its inaugural event is expanding from 3,750sqm to 9,000sqm, due to trade demand.
The Pet Show will debut at EventCity, Manchester on 7-8 September, showcasing more than 20 breeds of dogs and hosting a regional heat of the crossbreed competition, Scruffts.
The organiser said the show initially committed to hall one at Manchester’s EventCity but after pawsing for thought, decided that early interest from major industry brands should push capacity to include a significant proportion of hall 2 resulting in an extra 6,250sqm of total floor space.
“We have been delighted with the demand for space and the event is shaping up to be an excellent vehicle to attract families while at the same time providing education and advice for people interested in pet ownership,” said the show’s managing director Carrie Mosley. “We already have some excellent partners on board and because of the increase in space, new opportunities are now available for additional exhibitors and organisations to join us at the event.”
The organiser said the additional space will mean the five animal discovery zones; Discover Dogs, Discover Cats, Discover Small Furries, Discover Exotics and Discover Birds and Fish will be much larger, to entertain and educate a family audience on the hoof.
