NCC Events (NCCE) has signed a five-year rolling contract with the NEC to keep the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show and the Motorhome and Caravan Show at the Birmingham-based venue until 2021.
Held in February and October respectively these shows are deemed as the UK’s largest leisure vehicle sales events.
John Lally, NCC Events CEO, commented: “We are looking forward to continuing to work with the NEC for the next five years. This contract also provides NCCE with long-term certainty, which results in more benefits than a shorter contract.”
Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show and the Motorhome and Caravan Show are among the top ten most visited exhibitions in the UK, the organiser said.
The upcoming Motorhome and Caravan Show (17-22 October) occupies 11 halls and is expected to bring around 100,000 visitors to the NEC site.
Managing director of the NEC Group Kathryn James, said: “We are delighted that NCCE have chosen to stay with us until 2021. They bring almost 200,000 visitors and over 500 exhibitors with them each year, making them one of our largest organising customers.”
James said the NEC has had a very successful relationship with the event orgamniser and the wider community, providing them with the space, facilities and operational support they needed to grow their two market leading events.
“We are looking forward to continuing to be at their side over the coming years to help drive future success for them and all of their exhibitors and visitors,” she concluded.
