Melville GES has consolidated its two London operations into new offices at Excel London. Thirty people will be based on the dock edge in newly refurbished offices.
“Following the recent signing of a 10-year agreement with Melville GES to be our preferred event supplier for new congresses, I am delighted that Melville GES have now chosen Excel London as their new London HQ,” said executive director at Excel London, James Mark.
“Our ambition is to be the number one venue of choice for the world’s leading events. Having the headquarters of a world class supplier within our venue will offer significant service benefits to our customers and therefore will support this vision greatly.”
Andy Gibb, chief operating officer at Melville GES (pictured), added: “Once the opportunity to move into the venue presented itself, it was a very easy decision to make. With our new 10-year agreement to be Excel’s preferred supplier, the venue is the obvious location for our new London headquarters. Being based at the venue will allow us to work closely with the Excel team, enabling us to deliver a coordinated approach with a focus on improving customer service.”
GES recently appointed Ted Bloom to a new role of chief commercial officer (CCO) with responsibility for sales and commercial development for exhibitions and events in the EMEA region.
