Mash Media, publisher of EN and organiser of International Confex, has announced that Christmas charity event ‘One Day at Christmas’ will be heading to the NEC for 2017.
One Day At Christmas first took place in 2016, and the 2017 event was announced at this year’s EN Awards. It will bring the Christmas spirit to elderly and lonely individuals in and around Birmingham, providing them with a festive dinner and entertainment at this special time of year.
The event will be put on in partnership with Chris Hughes from Brand Events, who supported the 2016 event, and the NEC.
The organiser is calling for the industry to join in and get behind the event, either by bringing a team to the NEC on 12th December to serve food and help out on the day or by contributing towards food, equipment, transport, and entertainment for the guests.
Mash Media MD Julian Agostini commented: “Last year’s event was a great success, with a diverse group of event profs bringing the Christmas spirit to people who might not usually get the kind of Christmas that you and I enjoy.
“This year’s event, now at the NEC, promises to be even bigger and better, and we’re calling on the industry to get involved and take part in any way they can.”
