Glasgows, the event, digital and video production agency, has been chosen to provide audiovisual and technical production support for the Commonwealth Forums as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).
CHOGM comprises high-profile international events, including the Business, Youth, Women’s and People’s Forums. These events will take place between 16 -18 April at two central London venues.
Over two thousand delegates from across the Commonwealth are expected to attend the forums over the three days.
The contract, awarded by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, covers audiovisual, stage and set design, venue branding, print and online delegate registration and badging.
The complex programmes will have multiple room changes and set builds in a short space of time.
Joint managing director, Paul Morey, commented: “Glasgows has built an exceptional track record over 30 years of working with government departments but faced stiff competition for this contract. We are therefore very proud and pleased to have been ranked the leading supplier and look forward to working on the project over the next six months.”
Morey said Glasgows has worked for almost every central government department and has experience spanning EU Presidency, G8 and UN events.
Other major projects in the pipeline for 2018 include The Police Federation’s annual conference which moved last year from the BIC to the ICC in Birmingham and the Association of Teachers and Lecturers annual conference taking place at the ACC, Liverpool.
The Commonwealth Forums are being hosted as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Production for the CHOGM is being coordinated by a separate agency. Both companies will be working closely together to ensure cohesive visual approach across all events and the coordination of feeds to the media.
Based in Leyland, Lancashire, Glasgow employs 26 permanent staff. The company provides creative ideas, audiovisual production and video for clients across both the public and private sectors.
