Event Tech Lab, a technology incubator founded by James Morgan, has partnered with Messe Dortmund to host the International Tech Pavilion at BOE – an international trade show for experience marketing. 10,500 visitors are expected to attend the event, which takes place on 16-17 January 2019.
The International Tech Pavilion will be featured in the MICE hall near the main stage. Both start up and established technology companies will be showcasing event management and event marketing systems, attendee engagement technology as well as technology that manages the logistics and production aspects of events of any size or type. Start up companies will have the opportunity to ‘pitch’ their technologies to attendees at the MICE stage on both days of the show.
According to the German National Tourist Board, in 2017, the number of delegates attending meetings, conferences and events in Germany rose by 2.8 per cent to 405 million participants. The use of new technologies accounted for a noticeable shift within the events market with more technology being demanded by participants.
A new addition to the show is the one-day International Festival of Brand Experience – BrandEx taking place on 15 January 2019. BrandEx is a conference with first-class line up of international and local experts talking about experience marketing during the day. The BrandEx Awards that will recognise the year’s best projects from the areas of live marketing and brand architecture will be taking place in the evening. The conference will offer attendees interactive formats including discussion forums, workshops, bar camps, world cafés, round tables as well as background interviews with experts, entertainment performances and trending industry topics in a multilingual setting.
