The organiser behind the Event Production Show is introducing several new features into its floor plan for 2011.
The event, which rebranded from The Event Show to The Event Production Show in 2010 and is held in Olympia’s Grand Hall, will take place from 2-3 February 2011.
Event director, Sarah Brownlee, said a highlight will be its Bamboo networking bar provided by Ascot Structures, who is returning to the show after several years’ absence. The structure will be open on all sides and act as one of several focus areas.
The Event Technology Zone will showcase new innovations around pyrotechnics, AV and other interactive products of interest to event organisers. Exhibitors have also been encouraged to take space-only stands, which will open the look and feel of the show for visitors, Brownlee said.
“We will have more space than ever before,” she said. “A lot of exhibitors have said this year is the busiest for several years. The corporate side has struggled, but outdoor events and festivals have carried on and the general public is investing money in events.
“Our show is focused on live events production and is a one-stop shop for all types of organisers including those running concerts, festivals and so on.”
Another addition is a new area dedicated to industry association partners including the Event Supplier and Services Association, Production Services Association and the National Outdoor Events Association.
The Event Production Show is organised by Ocean Media. It claims it is on target to attract its highest number of exhibitors next year, with bookings up five per cent year-on-year.
