The UK Energy Industries Council (EIC) will announce its plans to expand into China when it exhibits at the Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG)
As the trade association for UK companies supplying services to the energy industries worldwide, the EIC has reserved a plot of floor space to house around 30 of the UK’s oil and gas leaders in a pavilion.
CEO of the EIC, Mike Major, said it would use AOG as a platform to outline its new plans for Asia, which include the opening of a new office in China to enable the association’s Singapore office to concentrate on other key markets.
“Last year’s AOG provided members of the UK supply chain with excellent exposure, resulting in a host of new business leads. In the feedback we received from all the UK companies exhibiting, one said they even plan to set up a new office in Australia on the back of orders received at the show,” said Major.
Major added the pavilion will also showcase a host of innovative products and services designed to deliver greater economic value from Australasia’s oil and gas fields.
AOG 2011 will take place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from 23 to 25 February.
