UBM’s annual eCommerce Expo attracted more than 6,500 visitors (pending ABC audit) to Olympia London on 2-3 October.
The pre-audit figure of 6,595 represents an estimated 11 per cent rise on the previous eCommerce Expo, with more than 160 exhibitors including PayPal, Toyal Mail and UPS, specialising in aspects of selling online, from digital marketing strategy to fulfilment and delivery.
“We are delighted with this year’s event,” said event manager, Rebecca Slater. “It’s clear that the UK’s ecommerce industry is thriving and showing no sign of slowing down. It’s a pleasure to run an event which celebrates and represents such a vibrant and innovative industry.”
The show co-located with UBM’s ICMI Call Centre and Customer Management Expo (CCE).
More than 50 sessions took place across four theatres and delivered business strategy insight and case studies. A new interactive feature called the eCommerce Global Store debuted at the show this year, curated by online marketplace, Fruugo. The Global Store showcased companies: Blippar, Tinderstone, TAPTAP, EyeCandyTM, Viewsy and Hercules Fisherman, each of whom displayed and demonstrated store technologies including augmented reality, holographic displays and 3D printing systems.
Next year’s eCommerce Expo will return to Olympia London on 1-2 October 2014.
