This year’s Crufts dog show brought approximately 138,000 visitors and 28,000 dogs to The NEC Birmingham.
Running from 10 to 13 March, the show occupied more than 90,000sqm over five halls and included 400 trade stands. That’s 70 dogs per stand.
Research company Marketing Birmingham estimates that visitors to the event contributed £11.5m to the regional economy.
Launched in 1891, Crufts has become the second-largest event to take place at The NEC behind The Clothes Show Live.
Last year’s Crufts was the first to be covered on television after a two-year hiatus following a documentary exposing controversial breeding practices.
