Mash Media has announced a partnership with holographic event specialist Musion to deliver the keynote theatre at International Confex 2018.
The agreement will see Musion bring speakers from within the UK and further afield to the show using its very latest technology: telepresence.
International Confex 2018 (28 February- 1 March), will also be highlighting the impact holograms can have on every type of event, including conferences, AGMs, training events, exhibitions, awards ceremonies, product launches, brand engagement, and experiential events.
Get to know: telepresence
Event professionals will likely be familiar with the entertainment angle of Musion’s technology, but may not have seen telepresence, its new capability.
Telepresence is a technology in which a keynote speaker appears across multiple locations, where they are able to interact with the audience as though they are physically present.
This concept has the potential to make a significant contribution to reducing the environmental impact of the industry as well as mitigating delegate’s security concerns about global travel.
Telepresence also allows exhibition organisers the opportunity to include high profile speakers from around the world within their conference programme.
“Since we acquired Confex in 2013, Mash Media has been committed to leading from the front on profiling the events industry of tomorrow,” commented Liz Agostini, event director, Confex. “Our collaboration with Musion undoubtedly reflects this, and means we can bring even more exciting speakers to the show. We’re encouraging our visitors to watch this space!”
