International Confex is partnering with leading industry charity, Meeting Industry Meeting Needs (MIMN) and will donate £5 for every visitor who takes over 5,000 steps at the event.
“International Confex wants to show its support for MIMN, the events industry’s leading charity,” said event director Liz Agostini.
“With the 2015 event packed full of new content, show features and an expanded exhibition floor, we want to ensure that visitors see all that Confex has to offer. With this in mind we have committed to donate £5 for every visitor that takes over 5,000 steps while at the event.”
On arrival visitors can choose to wear a pedometer which tracks the volume of steps taken at the show. Visitors will be encouraged to capture the number of steps taken and displayed on their pedometer via photos and share them via the official show app. On departure, they will hand the pedometers over for confirmation that they reached the charity goal.
MIMN’s Shonali Rodrigues said: “As the charity of the meetings industry, MIMN is delighted to be working with Confex on this promotion to raise money for grassroots causes as chosen by the industry. Every step counts towards a good cause.”
A prize will also be offered to the visitor that makes the most steps while at the event and the pedometers will be available for collection from the entrance.
The 2015 Mash Media event is co-located with the Event Production Show and the Office Management and PA Show and takes place on 18-19 February, at Olympia London.
