CloserStill has reported more than 10,000 visitors at the first joint running of Cloud Expo Europe and Data Centre World at Excel London (pending BPA Audit).
The organiser attracted delegates, end users and IT leaders on 26-27 February, as well as more than 300 exhibitors to the fifth edition of Cloud Expo Europe, and the first Data Centre World since CloserStill acquired the show in 2013.
Phil Nelson, director of CloserStill, said: “The combination of the Cloud Expo Europe and Data Centre World events under one roof has attracted a fantastic turnout, beyond our expectations. The caliber of speakers on the conference programme really captured the imagination of our record-breaking crowd, as they flocked to gain insight from some of the world’s leading industry experts.”
Cloud Expo Europe featured industry visionaries offering their expert insight, including BBC Dragon and co-CEO of Outsourcery Piers Linney, former Netflix CTO Adrian Cockroft, and Nebula CEO Chris Kemp, formerly CTO at NASA.
Linney, who opened the show’s Keynote Theatre, said: “This is the biggest exhibition for cloud, so we need to be here. Face to face is still very important and shows like this are great for networking. I’ve seen people today that it would have taken me weeks to meet normally.”
The two shows will run alongside each other again next year at Excel on 11-12 March 2015.
“We want to build on this success and provide a speaking line-up, exhibitor base and content programme that will be even bigger and better in 2015,” said Nelson.
