Clic+, the boutique exhibition and conference, launched by Robinson College, attracted 200 meetings industry professionals at its second edition, on 30 September.
The event brought together a host of seminars and workshops exploring issues, including maximising ROI, finessing content and ensuring sustainability.
Much of the day’s action took place in Robinson College’s new Crausaz Wordsworth Building, the culmination of £5m of investment into the academic venue.
Nick Milne, college steward at Robinson College said: “The success of last year’s event meant that we had big shoes to fill and expectations, from both new and returning guests were high.
“What made this event a success, was the strong links we have with our suppliers, agents and partners who all contributed their time and resources to make this event even better than last year.”
Keynote speakers included Victoria Darragh, from recruitment specialist Hays, who spoke about the role of the personal assistant in the events universe.
Her talk included practical advice for improving engagement before, during and after an event and she noted event managers were often under-appreciated in the work they do and, as a result, pay scales failed to match the heavy workload.
Interactive workshops were guided by agencies including: Media House, Speakers Corner, Live Group, Inspired and Green Moon Events.
A gala dinner hosted by Robinson College on the eve of Clic+ 2015 raised over £2,500 for the MHF charity.
