Clarion Events is to extend its consumer portfolio of shows.
The organiser, which currently has 23 consumer events in its remit, told Exhibition News it is launching a number of new shows in the arts, fashion and Christmas sectors, taking place at the new £60m Bluewater Events Centre, Kent, when it opens in 2011. The deal continues Clarion’s strategic partnership with the venue.
Speaking to EN, Clarion Events MD of Consumer Lee Masters says: “The new venue being built at Bluewater Retail and Leisure Complex in Kent is a great fit for our consumer portfolio of shows. The complex attracts 28 million visitors annually, which will bring a diverse mix of people straight to the front door of our shows.”
Masters added that the new venue opens up further opportunities to expand on its current consumer brands, which include The Baby Show and Times Destinations.
