Centaur Media has announced the launch of a new show. The Engineer Expo is targeted towards UK engineering professionals and aspires to showcase the latest in-house manufacturing and design solutions, alongside cutting-edge developments in advanced engineering technologies.
The new event will be co-located with Centaur’s long-running manufacturing event, Subcon, which takes place 5-7 June 2018 at the NEC, Birmingham.
Content for the show will be curated by engineering trade magazine The Engineer, which was founded in 1856.
“The Engineer Expo 2018 builds on some of the most aggressive visitor growth ever seen in our engineering events,” said Gordon Kirk, event director, Subcon and The Engineer Expo.
“2017 saw over 4,300 visitors through the doors – an increase of more than 30 per cent on 2016. Critically we know that this growth is coming from the right type of visitors with a 71 per cent increase in VIP attendees since 2015 and 90 per cent of visitors coming to the show to source products and services.
“This tells us that attendees to The Engineer Expo and Subcon mean business which is precisely why we have already had signup from the likes of Nikon, Hexagon, Faro, Bowman, Laser Lines, ECI Software and Indysoft, to name but a few.”
