The biggest free show in coarse and carp fishing is returning to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry next month.
The Carp and Coarse Fishing Spectacular Show runs on 16 and 17 February in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall. The show will have 80 exhibitors, up from 70 last year. Around 12,000 visitors are expected, up from 8,500 last year.
Celebrities and angling stars including four-time angling world champion Bob Nudd and top carp fishermen Simeon Bond, Shaun Harrison and Pete Castle will be giving talks in the theatre rooms or mingling on exhibitor stands to discuss the newest products on the market.
Organiser Lee Apps from Redwood Events said there would be a wide range of talks and demonstrations for anglers of all ages and abilities.
“Once again this will be a Who’s Who of the angling world and the fact this is free entry to a high quality show is certain to attract thousands of visitors over the two days,” he said. “There will be masses of informative talks from well-known anglers as well as demonstrations, slideshows and free goody bags giveaways. This will be a great day out for carp fishers, coarse fishers or those who enjoyboth.”
Chris Owen, senior events manager at the Ricoh Arena, said around 8,500 visitors had come along to the 2012 inaugural show.
“The show will be held over 4,000 sqm and we are expecting the Jaguar ExhibitionHall to be buzzing with all the latest news and product information from the fishing world,” he said.
