Briefing Media has announced that LAMMA, one of the agribusiness shows in its portfolio, will move to the NEC in 2019. The organiser has confirmed that the two-day event will continue to be free to attend and will remain on its January timeline.
“We are excited by the opportunities that this new venue creates for the LAMMA show,” commented Elisabeth Mork-Eidem, group head of events at Briefing Media. “LAMMA has a deserved reputation as the meeting place for the entire industry at a time of the year when key buying decisions are made. The move to the NEC will provide an entirely indoor environment, bringing it up to the professional standards that are expected of a market-leading event.”
LAMMA ‘18 (17-18 January), will be the last event to be held at the East of England Showground in Peterborough. The organiser has said next year’s show will be the largest LAMMA ever, with more than 900 exhibitors and over 40,000 visitors from across the UK and abroad.
Commenting on the NEC, Mork-Eidem said: “The NEC is the UK’s leading exhibition venue and provides unparalleled scale, facilities and transport links, and we are looking forward to working with the NEC to ensure that LAMMA grows and develops further to serve this important market.”
Kathryn James, managing director of NEC Group, commented: “We are delighted to welcome LAMMA, along with their exhibitors and visitors, to the NEC. We understand the importance of the event to the agricultural sector, and are honoured to be working with them as they bring their popular event indoors to serve the growing needs of the industry.”
The first LAMMA show at the NEC will take place on 8-9 January 2019.
