Dennis Algreen, spokesperson of organiser SBC Events, told EN that Betting on Sports exhibition nears sell out with only a handful of stands available for booking. The event will open from 12-15 September at Olympia in West London with almost 100% increase exhibitor numbers compared to its previous edition.
The event first launched in 2016 at Grange Tower Bridge and hosted around 600 sports betting delegates, and a line-up of around 75 speakers.
SBC organiser told EN it moved the show to Olympia London to cater for increased demand for exhibition floor. “We are aiming for about 1,200+ delegates, 180 industry leading speakers and 60 exhibitors and we are pretty confident we’ll hit those figures,” Algreen said.
In its second year running the show aims to become the largest international sports and betting trade show. SBC Events has said the show moved to Olympia this year to cater for increased demand for exhibition floor.
Commenting on future editions, Algreen said: “Nothing is set in stone yet, but we are certainly looking at Olympia Conference Centre again for next year, as they have several venues available, it might be possible for them to keep up with our ambitions for the next one.”
The show organiser also revealed that it doesn’t have a specific shell scheme supplier as the event is looking to showcase marketing expertise and innovation in the industry.
“We leave exhibitors with very free hands on this and use various suppliers. However we have worked in partnership with Event Exhibitions Services and B&L Media to provide many of the stands for our exhibitors,” Algreen told EN.
Exhibition and conference
The show combines a conference with eight main tracks and 44 separate panel sessions. Leading industry experts will discuss opportunities, regulation, ethics, innovation and various other aspects of sports and betting in three conference rooms simultaneously.
The exhibition floor will show some of the latest and greatest product developments and innovations in the industry. There are also networking parties on Wednesday and Thursday night at Altitude 360 & Under the Bridge, respectively.
“Betting on Sports 2017 is a must-attend event for members of the sports and sports betting industries and those that deal with the sectors. The event focuses on everything related to sports and betting, including Esports, Racing, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Tennis, Golf, Darts, Rugby, etc,” Algreen said.
Among the 120 operators at #boscon2017 will be the recently merged Paddy Power Betfair, a premium sponsor of the event, and Ladbrokes Coral.
Joining them at Olympia Conference Centre will be premium sponsor bet365, first-time exhibitor Mr Green, and Sky Bet, to name but a few.
On the supplier side, SBC Events has attracted 80 of the biggest names in the industry, including platinum sponsor OPTIMA and SBTech.
“Our plans for the future is growth,” Algreen said. “We are usually quite ambitios with our events, having grown both this years Betting on Football 2017 (May 4-5) as well as Betting on Sports 2017 by about 100% from the previous one.”
