Expo Management has claimed nearly two-thirds of exhibition space has been booked for next year’s Best of Britain and Ireland (BoBI) show at The NEC in Birmingham.
The organiser said 63 per cent of exhibitor space has been taken up for the event on 13 and 14 March and includes new exhibitors, the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association and the British Educational Travel Association.
“Each year we look to enhance Best of Britain and Ireland for the benefit of both our exhibitors and visitors,” said event director Sam Warnock.
“For 2013 we are concentrating on delivering added-value initiatives and programmes that will give our exhibitors and visitors the best possible value for money for their participation – and these initiatives are just the beginning.”
Expo Management will also expand its domestic and international VIP Buyer programmes. Joint invitations have been sent out from the show organisers and core tourism partners, with 35 per cent of the domestic places and 40 per cent of the international places already accepted.
The show claimed growth under its new owners. Warnock said The NEC-based event attracted 2,226 visitors, a five per cent rise, plus 285 exhibitors, up 11 per cent year-on-year.
Expo Management acquired BoBI from Best of Britain Events in May last year after former owner Best of Britain Events went into administration.
Leading events and meetings industry trade publisher Mash Media Group is teaming up with Expo Management for the Event Production Show’s 2013 and 2014 editions.
