The Association of Event Venues (AEV) chairman Nigel Nathan (pictured) said 2014 was “a very strong 12 months” at its latest AGM.
The tenth AGM at the International Centre, Telford on 10 September saw Nathan say the association had “made excellent progress ensuring its members’ voices were being heard by policy makers, influencers and decision makers, across the board.”
It also saw the full launch of the new Event Managers Working Group.
The AEV board elections saw four members of the Board, Graham Stephenson (Business Design Centre), Kevin Murphy (Excel London), Kathryn James (NEC) and Rebecca Kane (The O2) required to retire their positions according to the association’s constitution.
With the exception of Kevin Murphy, all sought re-election and were unanimously re-elected to the board.
In addition, Jeremy Rees (Excel London) and Dominic Fleming (Stadium MK) sought election and were duly voted onto the board.
