A Place in the Sun Live is expected to attract a record number of visitors this weekend (8-10 May), after the property show’s strong performance in Manchester.
The official exhibition of the hit Channel 4 programme opened at Olympia London today (May 8).
A Place in the Sun Live’s Manchester event attracted a record 3,000 visitors on opening day and 6,742 visitors overall.
Andy Bridge, managing director of A Place in the Sun, said the UK’s stronger economy had made overseas property 20 per cent cheaper for buyers.
“Buyers have been few and far between in the past six years so a latent demand has built up which we are starting to see come through,” Bridge said. “The general public are more informed and quite rightly more cautious, but ultimately better placed to benefit from a favourable set of market conditions.”
Overseas property shows are on the increase at Olympia London this year. The venue added Sumansa Exhibitions’ inaugural Dubai Property Show in February as well as the Indian Property Show in April.
